First Selectman
CArl Fortuna
Carl P. Fortuna, Jr. is in his sixth term as the Republican First Selectman in Old Saybrook. He became involved with Old Saybrook’s government in 1999, first serving on the town’s Water Pollution Control Authority and then as chairman of the town’s Board of Finance from 2001-2011. He also serves as the treasurer for the Lower Connecticut River Valley Council of Governments. Carl is an active runner and cyclist and enjoys golfing at Black Hall Club in Old Lyme, CT. Full Bio

Scott Giegerich
Scott has actively participated in the town of Old Saybrook since moving here in 1993. He served eight years as a Parks & Recreation Commissioner and is seeking his seventh term on the Board of Selectmen. Beyond his work on the Zoning Commission, Mark is an active member of the Knights of Columbus at St. John Church, Chair of the Old Saybrook Republican Town Committee, a member of the Elks club, a past board member of the Indian Town Association, and a past Rotary Club member. Full Bio

Rick is an experienced Board of Finance (BOF) member, having served on the Board for the last four years. His 'day job' is working as an Assistant Director at the CT Department of Energy and Environmental Protection agency. Full Bio

Barbara Labriola
Barbara is running for a second term as Old Saybrook’s Treasurer. She has an excellent understanding of, and an extensive background in, municipal government having served 13 years as Wallingford’s Town Clerk and Clerk of the Council. Full Bio

As a high school principal and science teacher, Joe is in a unique position for his understanding of labor law, parliamentary procedures, budgeting processes, FOIA regulations, and other specific knowledge critical to be an effective member of a public commission. Full Bio

Eric, a US Coast Guard Veteran, and his family have been residents of Old Saybrook since 2007. He is active in coaching youth sports and currently serves on the Boards of both Old Saybrook Little League and Basketball Club. Full Bio

Jim has capably served the Old Saybrook community as a member of our Board of Education (BOE) since 2013. He is currently an Engineering Manager at Electric Boat and has supported the U.S. Navy in sonar system design, analysis, and sea trials since graduating college. Full Bio

Bror's goal for Parks & Rec is to continue to support the strategic plan put forth when he joined the Commission. It is an aggressive plan to improve many of the town's current parks.
