Paul Carver, 72, was born and raised in New Britain where he served on the City Council for 10 years and eight years on the Board of Education. He was also President of the Library Board and Chairman of the Parks and Recreation Commission.
Paul and his late wife, Lisa, moved to Old Saybrook thirteen years ago when Lisa became the town’s first Finance Director. They raised two children, Alex a CPA and Tory an actuary. Paul is now the grandfather of two grandsons.
In Old Saybrook Paul is a member of the Republican Town Committee and was previously appointed to the Inland Wetlands Commission. He is a Justice of the Peace. He was employed by the State of CT in the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) for almost twenty-five years and is now retired.
Paul was elected to the Board of Finance eight years ago (two as chairman) and would like to continue serving the community in that position.
