Mark caldarella

Police commission

Mark Caldarella brings a strong track record of public service and community leadership to his candidacy for the Police Commission. With ten years of experience on the Old Saybrook Zoning Commission—Mark has demonstrated his commitment to thoughtful, effective governance.

His approach is grounded in transparency, accountability, and responsiveness to the needs of residents.

Professionally, Mark is Yard Operations Manager for O&G Industries Amtrak Bridge project and serves as General Manager of the South Yard Marina at Ferry Point—where his leadership and operational skills shine daily.

Mark is deeply rooted in the Old Saybrook community. He is Chair of the Republican Town Committee, a member of the Knights of Columbus at St. John Church, a member of the Elks Club, and has previously served on the boards of the Indian Town Association and the Rotary Club.

Mark and his wife, Kate, have called Old Saybrook home since 2014, though his love for the town dates to 1993, when he began spending summers here with family.

As a candidate for Police Commission, Mark is focused on maintaining public safety, supporting community policing, and ensuring that our police department continues to serve with professionalism and integrity.
