Steven J. Johnson is the CEO and Co-Founder of Alchemi Wealth, LLC, a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) firm based in Essex, Connecticut. Founded in 2018, the firm manages over $260 million in client assets and serves more than 1,000 clients with a dedicated team of nine professionals.

With over four decades of experience in the financial services industry, Steve would bring a wealth of knowledge and leadership to a role on the Old Saybrook Board of Finance.

 

A significant portion of his career was devoted to advising municipalities on fiscal management, budgeting, planning, and debt issuance. He served as lead underwriter for numerous municipal bond offerings across New England, including a successful competitive underwriting of a general obligation bond for the Town of Old Saybrook.

Steve is deeply committed to the financial health and long-term prosperity of

Old Saybrook. He believes that strong fiscal leadership is essential to maintaining the town’s status as one of the most desirable communities along the Connecticut shoreline. His goal is to leverage his unique background in municipal finance and investment management to support the town’s continued growth and development.

Steve has been an active member of the shoreline community for over 40 years. He has contributed to numerous local organizations, including the Chamber of Commerce,United Way, local food banks, and Habitat for Humanity.

Steve and his wife of 38 years, Donna, have two children-Taylor and Michael- and one granddaughter, Harper. Outside of work Steve enjoys golf, boating, and spending time with family and friends.
