Gerri is a Zoning Board veteran having served for many years, and is currently Vice-Chair. She was an alternate for 4 years before being elected to the Zoning Board. Gerri feels that this is a critical board, as it has shaped Old Saybrook into the beautiful and safe town that it is.
She is proud to be a member of this board as it is a legislative body that regulates land use, ensuring development aligns with community goals and protects public health, safety, and welfare. It is responsible for creating, implementing, and enforcing zoning regulations, which dictate how land can be used.
Gerri has lived in Old Saybrook for 25 years and is a past Trustee of the Old Saybrook Historical Society and was President of The Estuary Council of Seniors Board for 5 years. She is a member of the Old Saybrook Chamber of Commerce and past director. She is a Board member Rotarian, having served as Assistant District Governor for 4 years. Gerri is a member of the Education & Advocacy Committee of Hope Partnership, a non-profit organization dedicated to developing affordable workforce housing opportunities. She is past Executive Board Member of the Old Saybrook Education Foundation.
Gerri is a member of the Republican Town Committee and currently serves as its event chair. Gerri is a Soup Kitchen volunteer as well.
Gerri works as a Paralegal, a profession she loves. Additionally, she works for the Town of Old Saybrook as the recording clerk for the Old Saybrook Board of Finance and the Old Saybrook Parks and Recreation Commission.
She is a Eucharistic Minister at St. John Roman Catholic Church in Old Saybrook. In her spare time, she loves spending it with her family.
Gerri feels she is the best candidate for this position because she cares about Old Saybrook and wants to preserve the integrity of her town. She listens carefully to all sides of issues at hand that would affect community development. She is asking for your vote.
