Lou Vinciguerra

HArbor Management Commission

As a recently retired Civil Engineer/Project Manager for the US Coast Guard, Lou is uniquely qualified for his position on the Old Saybrook Harbor Management Commission (OSHMC).  He is seeking re-election to the Commission this November.

Lou has been a resident of Old Saybrook since 2001 and brings years of experience managing construction projects at US Coast Guard stations and bases including dredging, bulkheads, piers, docks, boat ramps, and shore protection.  During his last term on the Commission, Lou led the design effort and managed construction activities for the stair improvements at North Cove’s clothesline mooring facility, new docks, dinghy rack and bulkhead at Sheffield Street town dock and new floats at end of Ferry Road dock.

Lou’s goals for the Commission are clear and concise: to maintain and improve Old Saybrook’s waterfront assets such as North Cove’s moorings, town dock clothesline and Ferry Road docks and to look for creative opportunities to improve and increase public access to the water.

Given his love of all things nautical, look for Lou and his wife sailing, kayaking or paddle boarding whenever the weather cooperates!
